Don't use the laughably named "Meet & Greet", as they do not meet you, you are just putting your keys in a drop box for the staff to drive your car over to the mid-stay car park and take any loose change you've left in the center console.
Current options at Stansted, at time of writing, are:
- Red short stay (nearest security), pre booked only
- Orange short stay (nearest arrivals), usually pre booked only.
- Green Premium (quite near arrivals), usually pre booked only.
- Green multistorey (not that far from arrivals), can drive-up, usually the cheapest reasonable option.
- Blue short stay (tediously long walk from arrivals), can drive-up, the cheapest option without a bus.
- Mid-stay - a bus to the terminal, fairly quick to the terminal, tediously slow tour of the entire parking area when returning.
- Long-stay - a bus to the terminal, slow either way, definitely the budget option.
- Meet & Greet - park by the terminal, leave your keys in a drop box, the staff take your car away and have it ready to collect when you return. Usually priced between short stay and mid stay.
- Valet - hand over your car in front of the terminal, pick up by the meet & Greet area downstairs. The most expensive option.
If you're not paying (business): use red or green premium.
If you're paying and value convenience: green multistorey.
If you're paying and you're tight: mid-stay.
If you're really tight: long stay and accept what you're getting in for.
I don't rate Valet as a reasonable option.
For 3-6 days, either use the green multistorey if you value a quick return to your car after arriving back, or the mid-stay if you're more cost sensitive.

If you are arriving early in the morning, in the 05:30 to 06:30 timeslot, be aware there can be a a 5-10 minute queue to get near the terminal due to the amount of people queueing to drop off so don't cut it very fine. The recent changes to the layout of the drop off zone seems to have mitigated this somewhat but it can still be a problem sometimes.
