My wife and I will be in KL as part of a little whirlwind vacation (Singapore > KL > Chiang Mai > BKK) for 4 nights (2 full days in KL + 1 day to Batu/area). It's our first time in KL, and our goal is pure tourism + eating (my wife is a huge foodie, and I tag along and help her eat so that she can continue taking small bites of everything).

In terms of what we're looking for:
1) Room. I do want an upgrade, whether that's the hotel doing good w/ Titanium upgrades, or me having to apply SNAs.
2) Breakfast. We love eating local food/hawkers/etc., but we tend to start the day in the hotel w/ breakfast. Evening is less important as we will likely eat out.
3) Location. Mostly in terms of access to tourist sites/food. That doesn't necessary mean in the center of town, if that means getting to tourist areas are harder.
4) Cost. Trying to keep within a budget.. but that really just rules out StR & Ritz for us right now. All the other hotels we looked at w/ our dates was within budget.

I'm open to most Marriott properties in KL, but I've skimmed the past few pages of this thread, and summarizing my own thoughts below. Leaning on LM or Westin right now, but definitely want some additional thoughts based on our vacation goals.

LM - Generally seems to be the most recommended on this thread, with good recommendations on lounge. Only downside seems to be the location, with one person calling it a "foodie wasteland." The flip side is that it seems close to a train station. So more convenient for any tourist sites that aren't in JW/Westin area?? How long does it take to get to a food market from LM? By train, or Grab? Cheapest of the LM/JW/Westin options.
JW - Location appears to be a foodie paradise. Someone commented there's prostitution right outside though (is that still true?) Someone also mentioned that if I want to get out of the area, it may take a while due to traffic. So, I'm not sure if that makes the location good or bad (can't quiet figure out yet how to get to all the tourist attractions)! There seems to be quiet a number of reviews about dated or musky rooms, and "the worse JW in JWs," which is off-putting. Cost a little more than LM (~$35 USD total, or 11.5k total points more)
Westin - I actually haven't read much about Westin in this thread, but given the negative reviews of the JW, the Westin feels like my logical choice if I want to stay in that area of KL. Costs a little more than LM (~$35 USD total, or 5.5k total points more).
The Majestic - Mixed reviews on this. But location didn't seem too great. (~$50 USD cheaper than LM, same points)
Sheraton - OMG 35k points for 4 nights due to PointSaver! But, the location seems really bad. People even commented that Grab is hard due to location being in the middle of nowhere. Not sure I'm willing to trade that convenience for point savings.
Aloft/Element/Strips - I don't know... just didn't seem to catch my attention as much.

Randomly.. are there good/cheap massages in KL? My wife loves daily massages (if the price is right). She plans on having a massage every day in BKK.
I have been at the Sheraton KL the past two weeks and getting a grab is 5-10 minutes more than other locations. Renaissance is only two stoplights away. There are several good restaurants on the street right next to the office entrance, a french place, cafe, and I think Chinese type. the pool seems nice - on the quite side. I wouldn’t throw it out, especially for around RM300.

RN has a healthland spa in the basement that offers good happy hour rates.
