Clearing security twice in one day to maximise lounge time on a long layover - Dublin

I hope I can call on the collective wisdom of FlyerTalk to answer a question about what to do during a long layover in Dublin tomorrow.

I arrive at 11am on a TAP flight from Lisbon and fly on to Munich with Lufthansa at 6pm. The flights are on two separate bookings. I’m guessing Dublin might be like Glasgow where you can’t check your bags in until 2-3 hours before your flight, so potentially I could end up stuck in the pre-security area until at least 3pm.

Would it be feasible to put the bags in left luggage, clear security with hand luggage only (already have my boarding pass for the MUC flight), use the lounge for a few hours and then come back out to check my bags in before clearing security again?

I know the lounge in DUB is nothing special but I just want a quiet place to work with decent WiFi for a few hours.

Any thoughts?
