Steigenberger Hotels sold
It was announced on November 5, 2019 that the Chinese Huazhu Group through one of their subsidiaries has purchased Deutsche Hospitality,, the holding company for the iconic Steigenberger, Intercity, MAXX and Jaz hotels.
Purchase price was 700 Mill. Euro. Steigenberger is a classic German brand with plenty of historic properties like for example the world renown Frankfurter Hof in Frankfurt. Let's see what the new owner can bring in to get the
brand back to its former glory.
