Platinum Guaranteed 4PM Checkout
I am currently sitting in my room at Hotel Blackhawk in Davenport, IA, after being a bit taken aback at check in, when I was told that the latest I could check out was noon tomorrow, since they "are sold out."
As a Platinum Elite, I thought late check out was a guaranteed benefit? This is an Autograph Collection hotel.
I know there is a list of hotels somewhere that are exempt from this rule, but I don't think this one in tiny Davenport Iowa is on that list. Can anyone provide that for me?
I was also a bit disappointed when at check in I was offered "points, or breakfast" as my welcome offer..... This hotel does not have a lounge, so my understanding is I should get the Welcome Points, as well as breakfast, correct?
The correct course of action is to request $100 at check out for a failure to deliver 4PM late check out, correct? Or am I off base here?
