DOT fined UA $350,000 in 2013 for not timely issuing refunds in accordance with Reg Z (which requires the refund be processed within 7 business days). After that, UA significantly improved its refund handling.
Now UA seems to be sliding back into old, bad habits. I've recently been seeing refunds take between 10 and 14 days for processing, and today received an email confirming a refund that was requested 34 days ago (October 1).
Will it take another DOT fine for UA to get its act (back) together?
