As a DL elite I have never seen a difference either between MU and FM. But to some extent that could be rules between DL and MU that go beyond ST rules.

I would be a bit surprised to see if the PVG denied this one as it is operated by MU, but could be surprised. I could see that AF does not guarantee this.

BTW, I assume the OP is in economy and asking for access via ST+. If he is in business, then FM grants access w/o status.
