Yeah, sorry, I wasn't clear: I am radically changing my flying habits and reducing flying UA considerably, because the UA downsides now outweigh its benefits IMO, and in my case.
I just book business fares NYC-Beijing on other airlines now with a stop for the same price than what I used to pay for a non-stop W fare with United. I thought the extra stop would be a huge negative, but timing of the new route vs. UA is actually quite good, and in many ways better.
Still 2019, so I still have time to reevaluate. Looked at potential PQF runs to potentially requalify for 1K, but that seems an unlikely strategy.
