We will be flying JFK - PEK in business class on China Eastern. I have a few questions about the baggage allowance. First of all, 3 out of the 4 travelers are DL Gold. I am wondering if there is any extra baggage allowance for Skyteam elite members? Looking at the CE site it appears that the standard allowance is two bags of 30 K per passenger. Can we take 3 bags for the 3 gold members? If they 4th person with no status is on our PNR does any extra baggage allowance apply to them as well?

Secondly, I am wondering if anyone has experience with carrying a musical instrument on board? What are the rules and dimensions for this. My daughter is visiting the Central Conservatory of Music and wants to bring her travel sized guzheng to practice. The instrument is 90 cm long. Do you think the cabin crew will allow here to put it in a closet?

Any other amenities we should be aware of with business class on CE? We have used the limo service in the past, but it looks like it is only available in Shanghai, not Beijing.
