Looks like the Marriott is converting to a Pullman: the takeover will take place at the end of this year or early next, and the hotel will undergo a comprehensive renovation to both the beachside and mountainside wings. The hotel will be white-labeled Naama Bay Promenade Resort, Managed by Accor while the 216-room beachside wing will start work next year and wrap up by January 2021, at which point that wing will be rebranded a Pullman. Work will then kick off on the mountainside wing until January 2023, and the entire resort will then fall under the same name and banner. More here:

Bummer that the Marriott is leaving - I had a great family stay there when I was 14 in 2003, and it was a staple of the Sharm scene. Wonder how the planned W at Nabq is going - that's supposed to open next year, but haven't heard a peep out of it since it was announced in October 2015.
