Looks like the Marriott is converting to a Pullman: the takeover will take place at the end of this year or early next, and the hotel will undergo a comprehensive renovation to both the beachside and mountainside wings. The hotel will be white-labeled Naama Bay Promenade Resort, Managed by Accor while the 216-room beachside wing will start work next year and wrap up by January 2021, at which point that wing will be rebranded a Pullman. Work will then kick off on the mountainside wing until January 2023, and the entire resort will then fall under the same name and banner. Bummer that the Marriott is leaving - I had a great family stay there when I was 14 in 2003, and it was a staple of the Sharm scene. Wonder how the planned W at Nabq is going - that's supposed to open next year, but haven't heard a peep out of it since it was announced in October 2015.
