Many of the newer and more interesting (like those in historic buildings or downtown locations) do have some genuine one bedroom suites. Just in the midwest, this would include downtown Minneapolis, downtown St Paul, downtown Madison, Madison Verona, West Des Moines, etc.

As someone said above, HP is an extended stay brand with full kitchens and often some special amenities for longer term guests (like some free laundry or some snacks). At least some HPs have one and two bedroon suites, although they're not luxury and in fact can resemble (Marriott Bonvoy) Residence Inn suites designed for larger families.
