Your friend should have been more proactive and called Chase sooner. They likely will not agree to an extension (you can ask via SM), and even if they do agree, it might prove hard to get them to honor it after the fact.
Fwiw, Chase (in practice) do give a couple of extra weeks beyond 90 days. But this could prove to be a ymmv, though there are enough datapoints supporting it. For example, see:
