That is true but since the program allows a definitive way to guarantee benefits to a guest that isn't the member with points, any stay where they are on points SHOULD get the benefits because denying then would be beyond idiotic since it would only amount to a difference in how the room was booked, not actually any substantive difference.

Thanks all. I spoke to the Globalist Line based on all your suggestions and she informed me categorically all guests will receive Globalist benefits. I assume this isn't out of goodwill, but out of fact... but who knows!
I wanted to cancel and rebook a GOH stay, but there was no points availability for those dates and I was fearful to cancel and immediately rebook in case there had suddenly been a blackout, and I got lucky. (Does anyone have anything to say to that?)
