I had a similar situation like this happen somewhat recently. Flying on a Tango (K) fare part of a broader UA itinerary with an AC segment at the end. Check in and boarding passes printed by UA and I see that all my boarding passes (including AC segment) are zone 1 since I'm UA Premier Gold. Further inspection of the AC segment shows the flight had a UA flight number which makes me wondering if UA boarding zones take priority for Premier members on codeshares?
I've also been assigned zone 2 (as a UA*G) flying on AC card stock and just boarded as zone 1 without question too, sometimes I'd even get an op-up when they scan the boarding pass
