Have you gone to their website and input the number of miles you plan to exchange to see what you will get? In the case of points.com, "offering double miles" could be re-phrased as "Instead of raking off 85% of your miles like we usually do, we're going to hose you a little less and only rake off 70%". It might make sense in certain situations for some people, but overall points.com looks like a terrible deal to me.
