The problem is that most people asking don't have the same feelings about planes and flying as some folks here. I spend a lot of energy to get the seat I want based on aircraft, layout, direction, season, and so on. I always want a window. Equipment swaps are inevitable and they disappoint me. So to imagine that I get the right equipment and the seat I want and then someone gives me the look of "what's the big deal."
I stopped flying Virgin Atlantic because an FA showed me that attitude in the Upper Class. Never flew them after that incident. This is not trivial for me. Maybe I will run out of luck but so far never happened on AA.
