Unless you get AIDS because you stopped to help the bleeding victim in an auto accident.

Unless you get AIDS during an operation because a blood bank did a bad job of screening.

Unless you get AIDS because you are a policeman and during an arrest an HIV positive suspect bit you.

Unless you get AIDS because you are a soldier and your buddy's blood was splattered on you when he was shot in combat.

Unless you get AIDS because you are a loving wife, trying to have a baby with your husband, not suspecting that he cheated on you -- just once.

Personally, I don't believe in big government. I don't like the idea of government telling me how much of my income I have to give in taxes to support research of a particular disease, be it AIDS, cancer, or any other affliction.

With that political philosophy comes a moral obligation: For me to decide for myself what causes I will support and then to put my money where my mouth is.
