Would the Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Soi Soonvijai be a somewhat reasonable option transportation-wise? Or maybe some other IHG property?
Yes, it's right by the train. The train might be crowded when you need to go back to the airport, but you will get on eventually. The less baggage you have, the better.
I know nothing at all about IHG properties.
