Quit calling. Pay off the Bonvoy card today. Stop worrying. The AF will auto refund though it may take a few days, potentially after your payment is due. Once it does, request a refund for the credit balance that is now on your old card.
The may be the best course. It's just annoying to have to go through that.
It would be nice if the various phone agents all said the same thing.
