Pullman Mandalay Mingalar, Myanmar - Review

Introduction Recently opened on the 1st of October 2019, my stay on 22nd of October 2019 gave me a chance to try this hotel at their soft opening period. They only had the lowest category rooms available during this time, which is Superior, hence, as a platinum I did not get any upgrade which is totally fine. Also, the executive lounge was not ready as well, and they temporarily set up executive lounge on mezzanine floor, so I did not get to try their true executive lounge. During the stay, I believe they were still trying to finish up rooms and it was a bit noisy but not too bad. Hotel Ground A ver nice new hotel.Parking lot.Coffee cornerBar Check In Staff escorted me to mezzanine floor where they templorily used as an executive lounge. Visually, there was not much food/drinks at happy hours, though that's very much understandable as I might be the only few being able to access the lounge at the hotel during that period since executive rooms weren't even available yet. It's nice of them enough to still present something at the lounge. Room Only Superior room available during soft opening. Even it is the lowest category, it is still a very nice room.Welcome amenity. Dining Different type of buffet served during dinner time everyday, but I tried their a la carte. Breakfast buffet was adequate, considering not many guests during my stay, it was understandable.Burmese chicken curry.Club 73.Pasta.The burger. Huge.Breakfast buffet at their restaurant, Grid on 73.View of the restaurant from the mezzanine floor.Ice cream got me a wow effect. Standard breakfast buffet, so I will just show something different - dim sum at breakfast. Hotel Facilities I only visited the pool, which was all quiet.Kid pool. Service Service was superb. Everyone tried very hard. It is one of the good things about staying at a newly open hotel. Everything is new and everyone is at their best or try their best. They certainly made me feel like the centre of their attention. I could not walk any where without them approaching me asking if I need anything. It was truly excellent. Organising an airport transfer with the hotel costed me $10 one-way, which is even less then arranging a local taxi myself. Organising a day tour with the hotel costed me about the same as arranging it with the locals myself too. The first hotel I have experienced that would not try to rip me off with rediculously high fee. Location The hotel is in a very nice area, probably newly established as everything looks new and modern. Taking taxi any where costs around $10 one way, including the airport. There is a plaza across the road with currency exchange shop nearby. I would say it is in a convenient location.Plaza across the road. Overall Excellent hotel, nice and new, staff were sweatingly trying their best. Even it was in their soft opening period, it was a very nice stay. Definitely coming back.
