The Springhill "Suites" South is a dump: dated, worn, and tired. The rooms are not suites by any suspension of disbelief. It's a basic hotel room, similar to those at a Hyatt Place with a half-assed divider sticking out of the wall in the attempt to create the appearance of a separate room (the typical HP makes no pretense that this is any kind of a suite). The first room I was assigned was tiny and had one tiny drawer for a week's worth of clothing. Went back down and was given a bigger room but with the same tiny drawer under the TV. I ended up evicting the religious propaganda from the 2-drawer nightstand and dragging it next to the TV stand to act as a dresser.

I'm here this week and was booked for next week as well but changed to the Res Inn down the road. It's just as old and probably as dumpy but at least I know it'll have a place to put my clothing and such.

In any of these five worn-out Marriott props along I-35, try to get a room as far away from the highway as possible because the road noise is pretty bad. There's a Res Inn, a Fairfield, the aforementioned SHS, an actual Marriott that looks like it teleported in from 1975, and a Courtyard. This is the worst Springhill I've ever experienced.
