AA 2754 to AA 5918 at DFW

I am a complete newbie and very infrequent user and infrequent flyer, so I don't know if this is the right place to post my question. Please bear with me. Apologies.
I am travelling from Chicago O'Hare to Lubbock, TX next week. It is a one-stop journey. ORD to DFW by AA2754, which usually comes in gate A23, and then DFW to LBB by AA5918 which usually goes out of gate B49. My layover at DFW is just 45 mins. Will I be able to make the connection in time? What is the fastest way to get from A23 to B49?
