Actually very doubtful that I'll exceed the baggage allowance; I was really just grasping at a few typical FD benefits. If I can avoid the queues by using the business class check in at each end, then I'll be reasonably happy in all honesty. Anything else is a bonus.

I've used the 'general' lounge at KUL many times, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. I do feel, though, that there's a problem with lounge reciprocation between KL and MH.

The biggest attraction of all when I've travelled between AMS and KUL with KLM has been complimentary upgrades; my success rate is about 50%. Again, it would be nice if MH prioritised FD members, but even if I was on a Malaysian ticket I suspect it wouldn't have happened. Still, MH economy ain't that bad.....
