I'm confused. In June, I had Delta/KLM flights CLT-JFK-LIS and was able to use the Delta Lounge between my CLT and LIS legs, and I don't remember it not being airside. Is it just the difference between AF and KLM, or is my memory THAT bad?!
And thanks for the PP heads up. That is a good alternative.[/QUOTE]
At JFK, the DL lounges are airside in T2 and T4. You had all DL operated flights then if you flew CLT to JFK followed by JFK nonstop to LIS, NOT KLM (although it might have been a KLM marketed codeshare, but this seems unlikely).
Most other SkyTeam airlines, including AF, KE, AZ, etc. use T1 where the AF, AZ, and KE lounges are airside (in T1, which has no airside connection to T2 or T4).
