I feel very safe in New York or London and most elsewhere too; probability says we are going to be fine.

New Delhi is marginally less safe than Jakarta, but there has been a concerted effort by Al-Qaeda (& other jihadi types) to infiltrate into India (including legally) that exceeds Indonesia by a factor that is multiples greater (for several reasons). US intelligence is not sharing certain information with the government of India as thoroughly as Indian authorities would like about the nature of the infiltration; I do not believe that the Indian authorities have fully grasped the extent of the threat posed in certain major Indian cities -- not only New Delhi -- by the infiltrations that are occuring over land (mostly), and by boat and plane (to a lesser degree). Then again most of the jihadi threat posed to cities is not aimed at Indians and/or Indian interests but will involve "western" targets/interests.
