And you really think serving you a PDB with a smile is essential, then you are overstating your presence on the plane.
No more absurd than expecting cabin crew to fly in for unpaid training on how to do their job. This is pretty clearly visible in AA's service delivery in premium cabins and why it's one of the most inconsistent products in the market.

Y service includes plopping a plastic tray and a drink down on a tray table. Service delivery in J and F is much more involved.
