Dear all, I am in a bit of a dilemma. I and partner are on a waiting list for HKG - BKK flight via TPE (13 hours transit) on 23rd April 2020. It will cost us 25k miles each and around £45 per person (tax & surcharge).

The thing is our miles will expire end of Dec 2019. We are concerned that the waiting list will not be cleared before our miles expires. Called London office this morning and they said on the date listed, there are Economy award seat available for 17,500 + £35 pp. So that makes me thinking if I should just grab a few left economy seat now rather than risk waiting for RL award seat later? and maybe economy seat may not be available at later date too?

Just try to use up all of miles really as we do not live in London anymore.

Any comments / recommendations are much appreciated.
