These threads continuously amuse me. It should be clear by now that UA's ability to price reasonably is not so hot. Prices fluctuate greatly. When the price goes up and down, well folks who might pay more go with another airline.

I can recall three times this year that UA's First pricing was out of whack where UA would have otherwise been my first choice. Each time I took other airlines, paid less. Then UA dropped the price (below what I paid).

The problem with such sky high pricing is that it will cause travelers who usually fly UAL in First to consider other airlines. Granted, AA is not so hot, not so much risk, but other airlines are likely to shine in comparison with UA at this point.

And UA is not the only airline, DL at times has weird pricing, just IMHO not as often as UA.
