I believe the only rugged laptops, such as Panasonic TOUGHBOOK, are the only laptops that won't be crushed by a reclining seat. But they are simply too heacy.
I think even a Toughbook would have issues with the screen getting pressure on it in the way a seat being reclined into it would be. I do have a couple of older Toughbooks at the office. They're rugged, but meant more to handle drops & such, not getting crushed.
