Split the biz
I stuck with UA since 2004 when I started really flying INT'L. Changes were enough this year to give me pause, still have 105K PQM with UA but only will end the year giving them $10k of biz on 016 tix. Had flights on TAP, LX, LH, SQ and TK in biz and they were so nice I actually feel liberated like many others on FT about the change rather then being devoted to UA. Delta got $4K and 32 segments and Jet Blue 14 segments and 2k. Will miss 1K and some of the fun of chasing status but it will be nice next year to chose best airline and the most direct route at the best price in the COS that I want to fly. Not sure how 2018 and 2019 changes have helped UA is this year their piggery cost them $2500, $2300, $3200, $1600 on Star Alliance partners + my spend on other domestic carriers. Their loss not mine.
