Arguably one of the busiest routes in the country. Flew this regularly for years as a 1K (now even as a GS) and I NEVER expected an upgrade, even with an instrument in play and could never afford C for what I considered a relatively short flight (especially given the cost). Of course price and upgrade chances vary according to the time and day of flight but as findark stated you are looking at peak business travel days. Likewise in my case I was often out on a Sunday (PM) or Monday and back on Friday and it was like a bus.
