I would be grateful for some clarification. I have made a late ET booking on an A320 out of LGW, which has 30 rows, with rows 12 and 13 as the exit rows.

I invariably take an aisle exit if available, but on this occasion I have to choose between aisle and exit. The choice is between 10D as an aisle, or 12A as an exit. I appreciate that 12 does not recline, but is a "normal" (not overly hard seat) and does it have significantly more leg room than the regular non-exit seats ? Also, is it more squashed because the middle seat is narrower (I seem to remember that as an issue in the past with the A-C side of the aircraft)?

I am not too worried about the recline issue, so if the leg room is significantly better and there is no narrow centre seat squash issue, I would probably go for 12A.
