Yes, same too, when I stayed here about 4 years ago, the rooms were a bit dated, but for me it was still very OK. However even with the dated rooms, the hotel grounds, facilities and staff was just wonderful...could have not been any welcoming. I remembered that during my stay, they had a special evening concert which when checking in was informed about it and given a complimentary invitation to it. Since I did not have any evening formal attire, the asst manager borrowed us some attire which was way above and beyond.

One of the best Ritz property I've been to even compared to those in Asia (except the former Ritz in Seoul - but that was because I was a regular there)
