I'm a somewhat vegetarian omnivore. I seldom cook with meat at home these days and when eating out, often find myself drawn to non-meat options because they're often more creative than the standard lump of grilled protein with a couple of sides. I totally agree with OP that a well executed vegetarian dish should be on the menu on all routes in premium classes. It needn't be labeled at a vegetarian dish. It's simply another option on the menu that could appeal to anyone. I also agree that EK's menus are stuck in the 20th century. Not just due to the lack of a non-meat option, but also due to the overall lack of creativity and presentation. I just find their food boring, bland and inoffensive. Kind of the anthesis of the decor! Sadly if EK were to put a veg option on their standard menus it probably would be as dull as a plate of penne with mass produced tomato sauce from a can...
