Another question about Hilton Go Rates:

Often use my friends rate as it is much cheaper than published rates. Am a diamond via AMEX. When I don't use the rate, I USUALLY get an upgrade. Just stayed in HKG, LAX, and MEX, and not one upgrade. Is this common when staying on an employee rate? I'm by no means complaining, more just curious. HKG (Conrad) surprised me the most as the stay was two weeks ago and the hotel was VERY empty.
