We each booked with our own aeroplan accounts, but previously had called multiple airlines about this trip to get our seats put together. The flight is in 2 weeks. Any suggestions? Can I force aeroplan to get us back on the same flight.
Odds are the partner's flight was changed too but somehow the e-mail got lost, or something. I would check both itineraries on aircanada.com and on aeroplan.com, check if the original itinerary still exist. Strikes me as very unlikely that they would change an itinerary for no reason. But in any event, yes they should be able to put you both back on the same itinerary. I have had similar issues but between a paid ticket and a reward. With changes in the former typically getting notified much before the latter.
