OK so I may have forgotten a tiny detail, to spice things up:
My DPS-KUL ticket is actually a DPS-KUL-CGK ticket, I am planning to no show the KUL-CGK leg which is departing 6 hours after the KUL-HKT flight. I am indeed on MH714 & then MH790.
In the event of a late departure from DPS, would asking the FA to tell the captain that I'm connecting on a flight to Phulet help in anyway? Do they actually even relay these messages to the ground?
the CGK portion definitely changes things. I've had seperate MH PNR's, ie: SIN - KUL , then KUL - HKG which they rebooked very quickly in the event of delay. Once even had the onwards ticket provided to me in SIN lounge (when it was still there) as they were expecting a delay. Other times was met at the arrival gate with a new ticket. This has happened in J and Y.
You may want to look into re-booking KUL-HKT via MH Call Centre if you're delayed in DPS or upgrading to a fare class that gives you flexibility to change times.
Who sold you a ticket from Denpasar to Jakarta via KUL? This is an illegal cabotage... Domestic connection via the third country is illegal. You may be denied boarding in DPS. Talk to whomever sold you the ticket...
How so ? I can fly Emirates from Gatwick to Dubai then back to Heathrow or Manchester / Birmingham etc
