The Apex J seat is my favorite J seat (haven't flown it on KE but have a couple times on JAL).

That said just flew the new D1 a couple week ago and thought it was great (albeit on the 777 not A359).

Unless you have timing concerns I might go DL outbound and KE return to try both out and know for the future
