Many of my WN flights from LAS-ONT in the summer - the thermals are so rough on this short flight, the FA comes on the speaker announcing "If you want peanuts, they'll be passing by on the floor." Sure enough, a couple large plastic bags of peanuts will be sliding down the center aisle from the front for anybody to grab.
That's how they served our sodas on one particularly turbulent flight. Not sure what the FAA would think of it....
