My speculation (emphasise speculation) would be Royal Carribean did something to (ahem) displease the Exit & Entry authorities at PEK. Did they run a Winnie the Pooh show? South Park viewing? NBA themed dinner? Blizzard tournament (just kidding about that one)...?
I don’t anyone on the Quantum Roll Call. I just posted a question and different passengers responded to what they witnessed at a particular time or place. I know after you get passed the airport posting there are other topics about the food and the shows.
The Quantum of the Seas is the only ship that was written up in the newspapers. There may have been other ships in port for a day going to other ports in China not involving transit to the Beijing Airport.
To find out what ships were in port the first week of October 2019 would require a port search going to the Roll Call for each ship to see if there are any comments on the Beijing Airport. You know what that is like. Some of these Roll Calls start a year in advance and continue a while after the cruise is completed.
I don’t anyone on my current cruise Roll Call. I read about how to get to the cruise terminal the best way to get from the Narita Airport to the hotel in Yokohama.
