I completely agree. WAY too many reports about "issues with TWOV" recently here. I've personally used TWOV quite a few times and heard TONS of times people talking about it in lines at airports. Not a single time did I heard about someone having been denied or having had trouble when being reasonably prepared and on a schedule that made sense (yes, they used to allow stuff like 4hrs layovers and out of the airport as you please more freely in the past, I don't doubt that, but in general TWOV is running just fine and getting better known outside of China to checkin staff and less questions because of it)
Now, I totally take it that around the 70th year celebration of the PRC they were more suspicious about TWOV especially in Beijing, but that was for a few days, and even then I doubt they denied ANYWHERE the numbers that some people here claim. We're just getting a tiny, tiny amount of TWOV users here - and if there is like 20 people here getting refused entry according to them, that would mean probably 1000x times of it being refused in reality within days, something I strongly doubt considering the numbers of people using it per day.
[Omni comment deleted by moderator], I wouldn't even rule out this being a campaign against visiting China in general or taking advantage of using TWOV. FT is high up on google when you search for it, and people will definitely read such reports (again, much more will read than comment..)
