Can I expand this conversation to WizzAir requirements? I have an American Tourister GO 2 Spinner carry on, which lists its dimensions as 55.88cm x 35.56 x 22.86. I read that WIzzAir permissible dimensions are 55x40x23. (I am checking a bag into cargo and paid for WizzAir's Plus, which includes underseat, carryon and cargo.) Does any of the FlyerTalk community have experience with WizzAir and whether a fraction of a cm in height is going to flag it. As with all these carry-on discussion, YMMV depending on the gate agents. The few times I've flown WizzAir, gate staff used the (hard) luggage sizer AND a hand-scale to weigh each carry-on. Most issues were about the weight and anybody with more than 10kg was forced to check & pay.
I wouldn't risk any hard-sided carry-on that's too big or anything overweighed, not worth the hassle at the gate...
