We’ve got some flights booked to Boston next year, arranged months ago.

We now need some car hire for a few days in the middle, and not from Boston if that makes a difference. Are there any pros/ cons of adding this to the existing flight book? I presume it want turn it into a BA holiday?

I’m sure this has been answered before but forum and google search drew a blank.
