I've been loyal to Marriott for 7 years. I have 251 nights all on personal spend and at the equivalence of Diamond for Marriott. So, I get the free upgrades, breakfast/ lounge access, late check out etc....

What makes Hilton more attractive? I like both companies, but find myself more aligned with Marriott and the time and money I've invested as well an incentive to stay. However, I've had 2 bad stays as of late and I'm not sure if taking the plunge to Hilton is necessary.

I typically stay at Marriott's, Residence Inn (like Hampton Inn) and os on.
