Anyway, I have not been to many gay hotels, but the ones I have been to (in Edinburgh, Scotland and Russian River, California) were overpriced for what they offered.
Some of my friends like the Hotel Orfeo in Amsterdam. They tell me the atmosphere in the breakfast room / bar is very nice and it is very easy to meet other travellers.
