So here are my deal-breaker questions:
- is it possible to transfer TiVo programs to this gizmo without a degree in rocket science (which I don't have)?
- can you really watch those programs on the tiny screen and enjoy the experience. Oh wait... I could hook it up to my PowerBook inflight, right. But would the image be so grainy as to be unwatchable? I guess I'm asking what resolution this gizmo stores the video in... VHS quality (ugh!)? VCD quality (passable)? DVD quality (I doubt it, besides my cable signal needs a lot be desired anyway)?
This all depends on Tivo2Go, a new service that should appear in the fall...
It's display is small, and the resolution is low(ish), but what I saw was certainly sufficient for watching stuff on.
CNet has a review of the device with a video clip...
