I guess my follow up question then, is since those numbers could indicate any number of possibilities what's the value of them? They pop up in threads all the time plus there's an entire wiki dedicated to beople finding out what the loading looks like but if there's no way of accurately knowing what they mean what do people use them for?

Or is it back to Globaliser's comment, it's like reading tea leaves and frequent flyers can get a sense of what it likely means for them based on experience and hunches? eg "I don't think I've ever seen a completely full WTP cabin when T was available shortly before departure"
