Moxy Munich Ostbahnhof
Introduction Had a quick one night stay in Munich with an early flight in the morning. Current track works on the S-Bahn means that the train to the airport took longer and replacement buses were available to Ostbanhof. As we had an early start, it made a lot more sense to be positioned at Ostbanhof which had the S8 running. Moxy was available at 66€ a night and we booked the cheapest room available.Would definitely return if the circunstances are the same. Public transport are excellent in Munich (save for the current maintenance work). I would have stayed closer to the center had it not been for the early flight but I would seriously consider returning to the hotel on the ground of price, value. I like the design of Moxy, cheap and cheerful. Check In When coming from the Ostbanhof you will note the stairs and the reception being on the second floor. We had very heavy suitcases and were not bring them up the stairs but 10 meters further, an entrance on the main street provides lockers and lift access to the second floor for check in.Check-in was efficient and I was offered the choice of amenity, 10€ or 500 points. No mention of my status or any upgrade (I couldn't care less, we were to spend less than 5 hours asleep in the room). No nonsense efficient service and we were dispatched to our room in 2 minutes flat. Room The room provided was a corner queen. The hotel is brand new, so everything in the room was in working order and in typical Moxy style which I like. The shower provided step free access and had good pressure and warm water. The bed was very hard but that's the way I like my bed. The stock pictures on the website provide an accurate depiction of the room. Location If you are a fast walker like me, 7 minutes from the station. Take the exit to Friedenstrasse and take the first right on Haagerstrasse to walk until you pass the new Residence Inn. Moxy lift will be covered at the entrance of the building.
