I am based out of a hub, SEA so that is where I originate from. I fly mostly international, so I guess DM doesn't get me alot over PM - no complimentary upgrades, just boarding with D1 cabin.
I would value GUCs next year if I could use 2 of them for personal trip with my wife. But my dates are flexible so maybe I could get business class for a reasonable rate or with points.
My upgrade is on the outbound leg - SEA to PVG. This flight on D1 right now would be $3,125 which is $2,552 above the PS fare which is what I am booked in currently.
Seems like it's not a straight forward answer. Thanks for your feedback, I need to think about it a little more...
