Hello gurus,

I'm flying on EY57 from AUH-BRU on 29 Nov. My friend is on the same flight, but booked on a different PNR. We are trying to select seats together. In the seat map that appears online, this flight is shown as an A330 and we can select seats A and C (for example) in the pairs, which is convenient for us. However, when I paid for the seats and got the confirmation email, it shows the equipment type as a "BOEING 787-9 JET". Obviously, the 787 has 3-3-3 seating and hence seats A and C would not be next to each other. I checked the web site www.seatmaestro.com and when searching for this flight, it also shows a B787.

I'm guessing I just need to check this again closer to the flight date, and hope I can still modify things on one of our bookings so our seats are together. Any other hints/tips about this? Why would Etihad's confirmation email show a B787 when the seat map online is an A330 ?
